New trees have been planted in the Greater Belvedere Park area.
Trees Atlanta planted 8 trees along Columbia drive on the West side of the Memorial Dr. Walmart near the intersection with Clarendon. I am happy to report that all 8 trees seem to be doing well and have even bloomed, even though this is their first spring.
According to one of the tags on each tree all of the trees are Chionanthus. Does anyone know anything about these trees? Are they fast growing? Will they be stately shade trees when they are mature? Are they resilient and resistant do summer drought or diseases?
I hope that we will all be able to enjoy the beauty of these trees as they continue to grow, to bloom, and to enhance the quality of life of our community.
