Summer Food Service Program

This section will be updated when the Summer Food Service Program opens.

DeKalb County Recreation, Parks and Cultural Affairs is seeking sites to participate in the Summer Food Service Program from June 1 – July 30.

The deadline to submit application is May 14, 2021. The Summer Food Service Program is a U.S. Department of Agriculture federally funded program that partners with agencies to ensure that low-income children continue to receive nutritious meals when school is not in session.

To qualify as a site, 50 percent of children served must meet the income guidelines for free and reduced-price meals in the National School Lunch Program. Children who are members of households that receive food stamp benefits or Aid for Dependent Children assistance automatically qualify.

Recreation Programs and Centers

All recreation centers, the nature center, athletic fields as well as playgrounds and other mass gathering spots have now been reopened. At this time we are cancelling upcoming program's, events, and parties. Although we are closed we still want to provide you with family fun activities, fitness tips and more. Athletic Fields

Park users will be able to utilize athletic fields, sports facilities, playgrounds, picnic shelters and outdoor basketball courts beginning Friday, May 21.
