Belvedere Civic Club April Meeting

Severe Weather Preparedness with DeKalb County Emergency Management Agency

The Belvedere Civic Club Club will hold its April meeting on Tuesday the 20th at 7 p.m.

You can join the Zoom meeting by clicking on this LINK.

During spring, we often experience severe weather. We have already had several incidents this year. Unfortunately, people have died as a result, and many thousands have gone without electricity or other vital services for extended periods of time.

The Belvedere Civic Club has invited the DeKalb County Emergency Management Agency (DEMA) to provide information to the community and help us prepare for severe weather events and other natural disasters.

Did you know that DEMA has an emergency alert system that can notify us of impending severe weather or other natural disasters? Does your family have an emergency plan to deal with natural disasters? Do you know what a family emergency plan should include? Do you have a family emergency kit? Do you know what should be included in a family emergency kit? Do you have a safe room in your home, if not, then do you know what you can do to establish one? At the April 20 Belvedere Civic Club zoom meeting you will learn the answer to all these questions. In addition, you will be able to ask your own questions of our Emergency Management Agency representatives. Please join us Tuesday evening, April 20, at 7:00 PM.
