On Wednesday evening, April 12, the DeKalb County District 3 Community Council will conduct a Zoom meeting at 6:00 PM. One of the items on the agenda will be a Special Land Use Permit ( SLUP ) Application for proposed redevelopment at the Belvedere Plaza Shopping Center. The new owner of Belvedere Plaza wants to demolish a free-standing building on the extreme northeast corner of the property and replace it with a drive-through restaurant. In February, the developer conducted a Pre-Application Community Meeting required by DeKalb County before the developer can request a SLUP. After the developer’s presentation at the Wednesday meeting, attendees will be able to voice their opinion of the proposed development. After community comments, the Community Council will vote on recommended action for the SLUP Application.
