On Saturday, April 26, members of the community and Inter Atlanta FC gathered at Shoal Creek I. While the primary focus was working on invasive species, such as English Ivy and privet, volunteers also worked to clear the clogged drain which regularly causes the parking lot to flood.

The Inter Atlanta Football Club will become our new neighbor! They have purchased the 13-acre property located on the east side of Shoal Creek Park 1. Construction has begun on 3 full size soccer fields. The club will invest approximately $1 million to develop their soccer fields on the floodplain portion of the property to ensure they properly drain after each rainfall. Planting of the fields will begin in June of 2025, with the first games in September 2026.
